Torsten Berndt´s illustrations visualise the connection between the path breaking technique of Alfa Romeo and progressive Renaissance ideas. In that age assumptions, which constantly existed for centuries, were challenged, investigated and newly defined. Alfa Romeo pursues similar strategies within automobile development. Proven innovative technique is combined with contemporary design.

The technique of collage and montage mixes photographs of Alfa Romeo cars, old text passages and engineering drawings with image citations from Renaissance paintings, and therefore achieves new, and even unusual artistic assertions. Composition of these elements as well as utilisation of signs of usage and paint marks are reminiscent of old billboards.
